Crockpot Ham Vegetable Chowder

Crockpot ham vegetable chowder combines ham, potatoes, chicken broth, cream of celery, corn, broccoli, carrots, onion, and seasoned with dried basil, seasoning salt, and white pepper.
Ingredients -
 
1 medium Potato, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 (10 ounces) cans Cream of Celery Soup
1 (14 ounces) can Chicken Broth
3 cups finely diced Ham
1 (15 ounces) can Whole Kernel Corn
2 Carrots, sliced
1 Onion, coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon Dried Basil
1 teaspoon Seasoning Salt
1 teaspoon White Pepper
1 (10 ounces) package Frozen Broccoli Florets
 
Preparation:
 
1. Combine potatoes, celery soup, chicken broth, diced ham, corn, carrots, onion, basil, seasoning salt, and white pepper in crockpot.

2. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 hours.

3. Add broccoli to crockpot. Cook additional hour.

Cooking Tip

Cream of Celery Soup
Wash 3 stalks of celery, chop finely, chop 1 small onion, cook gently for 20 minutes in 1/2 pint water with 1 beef stock cube. Blend 2 teaspoons cornflour in 6 ounces milk and add slowly, stirring until it just comes to the boil. Turn down heat and simmer further 10 minutes. Season with salt & pepper.

Cooking Tip

Frozen Broccoli Florets
Substitute a half pound of fresh broccoli florets for the frozen broccoli.
